Links

New fangled site feed jobby, for those who like that sort of thing:
The original South American blog:
Bored of this site already? Tsk. Well, if you insist.
Try some of these on for size:

Other travels:
  • The Last Stans - Paddy, Mick and Chris leave that upstart McGregor for dust.
  • Swiss On Tour - Adrian's travels around the globe. What do you mean, he's back?
  • Frank and Audrey - Wedding photos and related round-the-globe antics.
  • West Highland Way - Official website. Okay, so it's not exactly round-the-world stuff, but worth a hike if you're in the area.
Odd but interesting stuff:
If you've got a link that you feel should be included, let me know...

This blog is indebted to the following nice, friendly, easy-to-use and ... uh ... well ... free web-tools which I recommend everyone rushes out and uses (oh, all right, stay at home and use them instead):
  • Blogger - All-in-one blog making for dummies. What, you thought I coded this? No. Oh, okay then.
  • Flickr - Cheery online photo album/sharing jobby whatsit.
Credit where credit is due, the template for this blog was nicked wholesale from a much prettier standard Blogger template (by Douglas Bowman) and ruined by myself with new pictures and a bit of inept code juggling. Sorry about that.

Itinerary

On this epic voyage of ... uh ... discovering things which have - by and large - already been discovered, we will be dropping into the following locations in aproximately the order stated.

Being big on the whole organization thing, this is all "to be confirmed", so humour us.
(N.B. keep an eye on this page where we will drop in and update it with news of any changes of plan or any confirmed dates and times where we plan to be in various places. Think of it as a sort of public diary)

Vince's Itinerary: (updated: 28th April)
[I've got this up on Google Calendar, calendar name "Vince Haig", but it's not very intuative at the moment, it would be nice to link to a read-only public version, but they're only offering this feed: http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/vmhaig@gmail.com/public/basic as far as I can see, use it if you find it handy!]
  • 12th Apr: Fly into Sydney - confirmed, wheyhey!
  • 3rd May: Board train to Perth.
  • 6th May: Arrive in Perth.
  • 13th May: Set off on trek from Perth to Darwin through Western Australia...

  • Once reaching Adelade: Hop on tour bus to Melbourne, via Great Ocean Road.
  • Once reaching Melbourne: Um. Stay for a bit.
  • And then: Fly to NZ.
  • And then...
